The new business relationship between The American Rental Association, and True Value Co., the hardware co-operative, is going to help those members of the True Value hardware co-operative, expand the rental services they provide in their stores.
Already strong ties exist between the two organizations, which will only be strengthened. True Value retailers will have more and better access to a wide range of tools and equipment suppliers, heavy equipment suppliers, party rental suppliers, and much more. Other benefits will include better access to education, information, risk management, and government affairs programs, all pertaining to the rental industry.
“Providing competitive, top-quality rental equipment and services is a critically important part of how our retailers serve their communities,” said Michelle Henebry Finnigan, director of True Value’s rental and Maintenance Repair & Operations businesses. “In an economy that has customers watching every penny, rental provides an increasingly popular solution for getting a job done right or hosting a big event without having to lay out the cash for new equipment.”
The alliance also combines and increases the convention and trade show capabilities of these two organizations, including The Rental Show, the largest rental industry event. In July the ARA will extend member benefits including preferred pricing to The Rental Show to True Value rental program participants who include the Grand Rental Station, Taylor Rental, Party Central, Just Ask Rental, and Rental Center, licensed program rental retailers and franchises.
